Far Cry 3 on an Intel HD4000

http://semiaccurate.com/2013/04/17/hialgo-boost-for-far-cry-3/

Why bother? It looks so annoying with the textures constantly shifting up and down. If you're stuck on a laptop it's probably best to stick to strategy games and emulators.

lol why would you even attempt it every one know integrated graphics shares the main system ram and dont have dedicated chips there mainly there for low end games and genral pc usage not really for gaming

Yes but if its the only tool at your disposal to game with then whats the harm?

Well if u can afford a laptop that money cpuld have easily have been spent on a desktop plus even consoles are cheap u can get one for under £100

+1. We all cannot afford decent gaming PC's or even consoles for that matter so if it allows people to sample the delights of gaming for little to no extra cost I am all for it for sure.

You should stick to watching games on YouTube then:p

But really unless you have a 100 quid plus gfx card you're going to struggle with demanding games and will have such a shoddy experience that there will be no point.

Im actually impressed how well it runs with that software. doesnt look as bad as i was expecting either

Nonsense. Just because you cannot play a game on anything over low settings does not mean you cannot enjoy it. People have laptops because they don't have room for a desktop. I am lucky enough to have a desktop and to be able to of afforded the £1700 it cost to build it but other people are not as fortunate. If you have nowt and a relative passes an old laptop down to you, the fact you can play games on it is a massive plus point. I'm sorry but that's a very spoilt attitude when someone, who is less fortunate for reasons that cannot be helped, would really enjoy PC gaming.

i have a xbox, gaming pc ,ps3 blah blah blah

yet return to castle wolfenstien is still my fave game and intel hd4000 would run that easy its not always about eye candy

If your going to do that your much better off with the A-10 5800K APU, i don't know why people keep trying to get AAA titles to run on integrated GFX at all, let alone the HD 4000 which frankly isn't much good compared to other iGPU's.

I know but you have missed the point. Will it run on what he already owns? Chances are if he could afford
to buy the 5800k we wouldnt be having this conversation
