Far cry 6 cloud saves?

Hi all,

I was playing Far Cry 6 and got about half way though when it suddenly disappeared from my Ubisoft connect client...I then realised it was part of game pass that had just expired....so I want to buy the game and finish it without getting Game pass again but not sure where my save file is and what platform it's in? I played the game via Ubisoft connect but it was only on that platform as I had game pass so if I buy a Ubisoft connect game key would my saves show up or would I need to buy via Microsoft account to be able to continue where I left off?

I gambled and it's all ok if you buy a Ubisoft key and activated it all worked and did not even have to reinstall it...no idea how I would have uninstalled it as it had vanished but all good now!
