Hi pc:
12900K with NZXT KRAKEN X73 good temps
2x16GB DDR4 KINGSTON DDR4 3600MHZ in GEAR 1
RTX 3090 Ti Gigabyte Gaming
Aorus Z690 Elite DDR4 bios F5
SSD 1 TB NVM PCIE
Seasonic 1300W PX Prime Platinium

I am in Windows 11.

Hi. Today i get weird freeze in Far Cry 6. I dont know where can be issue. Temps are ok . I mean all suddenly stopped. I was hearing loud cpu fan. Not able to move keyboard and mouse. Only sound was in background.
Then after maybe 15 seconds all unfreeze and normal. It was hardware related i guess? Why that happen?

Also similiar thing i get in Control . But in Control all suddenly stop and not unfreeze like in Far Cry 6. In Control i must log out from system and log back in. I know in Control is E-Cores issue. But why i had similiar thing in Far Cry 6?!

But i am worried why during freeze i can hear loud cpu fan?

Tested ram by Karhu ,HCI Memtest no errors also.

Sounds like a stability issue. If it's not OC then you might want to try and run each major component (CPU, GPU, memory etc) in lower power states to see if you can weed out the culprit. Btw one thing to keep in mind is that individual-component tests like memtest might be misleading because during gaming your whole system gets stressed to a degree, so I know of cases where ppl ran memtest and came back fine but when testing gaming/benchmarks it would actually crash due to the heat output of the GPU+CPU (which is not present during memtest).

I guess start with 3dmark and see how that goes first, but if you want a proper stress test in gaming I'd say try Cyberpunk near City Center (Gardens) with crowd density on high and all raytracing enabled. That's going to put a real beating on everything.

I tested Metro Exodus, 3dmark all tests,Cyberpunk 2077,Battlefield 5 and such things not happened.But i test again Cyberpunk 2077?

I’ve had an OC or undervolt work in 99% of games, but some just stress the system differently, so it’s perfectly reasonable that some tests pass and others fail.

Testing now firestrike extreme,i will check if its fine. ok?

Maybe in Far Cry 6 it was some memory leak or something? I left game running for 30 minutes. Character was standing just. When i go to computer and pressed forward arrow it freezed for 15 second.

I found somebody had this issue on Far Cry 5. So i guess engine related?

Did you try without XMP (and in Control too)? What are your CPU and GPU temperatures while playing the game?

temps was ok. In Far Cry 6 it happens after idling 30+- minutes in game. I left character standing in the same place ( normal fps ), then i go to pc press forward and boom, freez for 15 seconds and unfreeze.

Everything freezed for 13-15 seconds ( i heard loud cpu fans , high usage? ), except for the audio and when i un-freezes, it's like it never happened (as in if i was walking, when it resumes, i will be ahead of where i am roughly equal to the time it was frozen).

It happens 2 times. Is my hardware ok? thanks
