far cry doesnt like laptop touchpad :(

when i installed far cry everything went fine. Got into the game everything runs fine except my touchpad can't control the aiming/looking

, i press esc and i can control the arrow in options but cannot use my touchpad in game.

anyone got a work around?.........................thats isnt use an external mouse

^^ What they said. I had the same problem with my mouse, resetting to default solved it. Apparently it's a well known bug.

............new problem when i enable hdr the game keeps crashing every so often, i have aa off

. When i switch it off it doesnt crash.

What is the spec of the Laptop? (Especially GPU)
Have you tried running without HDR?

Even though almost 3 years old, FC is a beast that will expose defects in your rig, although this could just be a config/driver issue...

Seems to be working now.......hopeful it keeps working.

lappy spec is 2 ghz core2duo, 2 gig ram and 7900 go. Seems to be work with max fps. Hope it keeps working, looks ace.

nah it doesnt feel hot i play cs:s, hl2 at 1900x1200 at max setting, oblivion at 1440x900 with hdr and doom at everything at max but i can play those hours at a time and evrything is fine, but with far cry i can play sometimes for a few mins or sometimes 45 min :confused:

......................limited success, tbh i play with touchpad when i'm out. Normally i play with external mouse and keyboard.

Have you tried running at lower resolutions/settings?
Does it make a difference to the time b4 it crashes?

4 got to read the rest of your thread b4 posting: have you patched it to at least 1.33?
There was a memory leak bug in the original release...

tried it at diffent version from 1.00 to 1.4 same thing, random crashes

Did you try different resolutions?
Is the timing of the crash random or is it always around 45 mins?
