I have a bit of a problem with my Far Cry saved game. I've just come to have a go on it after not playing it for a few months but I can't seem to find the latest game that I rememeber playing.

I've selected the right profile but the last game on there is from last September! It's saved in the archive, but I got quite a bit further than that, I got back outside past where you have to go in the trees along all the rope bridges etc, the last thing I can remember is fighting about 10 of those huge things with rockets on their arms outside.

Where abouts are the saved games stored and how can I tell if any of them are saved later? I haven't reformatted or anything so they should still be there :/

Any ideas where they could have gone?

The saved games are usually stored in 'C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\Profiles\player\default\savegames'. Try sorting the savegames by the last time they were modified and look for the most recent one.

If that fails then run FarCry in developer mode, which will unlock all levels. To do this, edit the shortcut to FarCry and chaneg the target from "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe" to "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe" -devmode. The '-devmode' bit needs to be outside of the inverted commas and needs to have a space separating it from the inverted commas. Start up the game using this shortcut, load the level you got up to and then it should save a checkpoint from that level.
