i think you *may* have to put a "-console" command on the shortcut as well

I think you are playing with the cheats yes ?

I had to do that at the very end, couldnt kill all those damn huge monster things and you have to enable console to add cheats i think ?

lol yeah that was fun. I hid in the right hand corner at the big door. Theres a sweet spot where rocket attacks dont hit you (they just hit near you because of the AI the monsters keep firing the rockets at the walls) so you wait until they have expended their ammo. (i think! this was a couple years ago)

To the OP:As has been said, it's the button above tab and you may need to add the -devmode bit at the end of the games shortcut path.

im in gameplay and i do what to get the console up, as pressing ~ does nothing

For a handfull of people that key (or its equivalent, the key to the left of "1" ) doesnt work, sometimes TAB will work instead, only solution I am aware of it to do a reinstall of the game.

on the shortcut that you double click to load up far cry, right click it and go to properties where it says "target" add -devmode on the end

Pressing the " ~ " key only works if your keyboard is set to the American layout.

For the U.K layout, press " ¬ " (under the esc key). Easy as pie

theres some chairs on the level before you go thru the door, push one around until its next to the door and it wont close and your can go back for more ammo, the big guys dont like the hvy machine gun and you can snipe those bunny hopping joker faced mofos.
