farcry 2 and steam problem?

why cant i pre order farcry2 on steam? it says its not avaliable in my region?

Its simply that, Steam is not releasing Farcry 2 in our region yet. Most likley due to publisher contracts... You'll find that quite a few games are like that unfortunately.

Have just purchased it from steam, and it's downloading as I type.

A little bit expensive now though with the exchange rate, but can't be bothered to go to the shops or wait for the order to come from an online shop.

Lazy I know, but I've not drunk any beer this week so up on the money.
