Hi all,

Just wondering who on here like me is using a 360 pad on their pc version of Farcry 2.

I am having trouble with the sensitivity of mine, it seems there is a slight dead zone and then it gets really sensitive when moving around in the game.

Has anyone had a similar issue?

Cheers

Alex

I had the same problem, I use an 360 controller (its an awful lot eaiser in the lounger than a mouse and keyboard), and it was pretty much useless.

If you go to the mygames/farcry2/ folder, and edit the file "gameprofile.xml" (or similar, I'm going from memory) and change smoothmouse=1 and smoothironsight=1 both to 0, it helps a little bit. But I had to revert to sitting on the floor with the mouse to get any kind of accuracy.

I know controllers are never going to be as good, but Cryisis and Bioshock were an awful lot better, so its not impossible to make a game playable with one.

I agree, I like to sit in front of my big tv when im playing hence the 360 controller.

Thanks, i did that smoothironsight change last night but didnt get a chance to check the game again so I will give it a go tonight.

yoyo - do you have the xbox software installed as well as the driver? I only have the driver currently.

It seems wierd as my controller works fine in all other games. Does Crysis map the controls to the 360 pad? I didnt know that, if it does I might play warhead with my pad.

Cheers

Crysis ran straigh out the box with the 360 pad, from memory the instructions told you which key to use too, which is a step up from Far Cry2, which involved a bit of trial and error.
