So I've downloaded and installed Farcry 3 twice now and the same problem happens each time, the game starts to run then an error occurs, don't know what the error is as it doesn't say, it just says there's a problem.

anyway I'm not sure what to do, i've just built this PC so i though maybe I've done something wrong but I've installed and played GW2 and Planetside 2 and they work perfect, i'm not sure if it's because i'm saving it to my HDD and not my SSD????

my ssd is my main drive and things generally try to save there but I want to use my HDD for this...

any advice on how to fix this??? it's through uPlay as well if that makes a difference (I got it free with gfx card and it was the uPlay ver)

thanks!

EDIT: ok so i've tried it again and this time I get another message with it, anyone know what to do :(

Far Cry 3 requires UPlay by default, so everyone goes through UPlay no matter how you acquired the game or what version it is.

Why do you want to use your HDD for Far Cry 3 if your SSD is your main drive? If you have space on your SSD, why not just use that as it's the superior drive.

I don't have too much space on the SSD and I was saving it for other games..

I think copy and pasting the entire Ubisoft (you need UPlay to follow too) folder to your program files on your HDD would be fine, i do it a lot for other games i play(ed) like SWG for example, then delete the folder afterwards from the SSD, but if you're not confident with that method, then just uninstall the game, reinstall it and before you start the install select the destination location for the game making sure it's on your HDD.

i did that on the first install and on the second i installed it straight to HHD and no joy :/ would rather not have to re-download it (took awhile)

do you think it could be the HDD?? i'm currently downloading sleeping dogs and thats going on the HDD so if that works then i'll know it's no i suppose

Not sure then, just put everything on your SSD (including your saves) and see what happens.

I seem to be getting this same issue - how did you resolve? I have downloaded the game twice @ 200kb which is horrible.
