r_Quality_Bumpmapping [0,1,2,3] - 0=No bumpmapping, 1=Low quality, 2=High quality, 3=Very High quality. "Disabling bumpmapping removes the raised surfaces effect on textures, but improves FPS. Enabling it at progressively higher quality levels improves the realism of the effect at the cost of some FPS."

also

r_TexBumpResolution [0,1,2] - 0=Full resolution, 1=Half resolution, 2=Quarter resolution. "Affects the crispness and clarity of bump-mapped (raised) surfaces. Setting to 1 or 2 will increase FPS, but will decrease visual quality."

From here
Can i do this from the command console? If i try it appears on the main screen as if im talking. I looked in the console and the above settings seem to be at their highest :(
That 'FarCryConfigurator.exe' - i can only see one in the x32 Bin folder - i doubt editing this will edit anything in the x64 Bin folder.... or will it?

You need to put a backslash in front of the commands eg:
\r_Quality_Bumpmapping 0

I think when i load FarCry 64 up, its actually loading up the 32bit version.

Can i force the 64bit version somehow? Or force it to 32bit version?

Actually...please stop listening to me, i think i'm going mad ;)

it should be starting the \Bin64\FarCry.exe

i have a different problem with my far cry 64bit keep getting bluescreens saying its nv4 display dll or something

Got it working now ;) Cheers.

But i also have a wierd problem with - not that it stop me playing it, but everytime i play it: It loads up a level and crashes to desktop, load it up again - gets stuck on the splash-type screen at the begining and i have to end process. the 3rd time i load it up it works fine

There is some lovely bump mapping in this, unfortunately some rather nasty ones also where the layers arent aligned properly and can make me feel quite queezy.... but who cares!

Playing this through again on Medium and bugger me there's hardly any enemies :p Nearly at the end and ive only been playing a couple of days, took me months to get this far on Realistic setting  At least on Medium i may be able to finish the game

Google the blue screen dude! or buy a Radeon!
