Farcry 64bit

I'm pondering installing farcry on vista 64bit ultimate. Will the 64bit version of farcry work on vista, will it also work on a core 2 duo and if yes/yes then what patches do i need because there seems to be two 64bit updates :S

well it has amd plastered all over the 64bit patch so i was unsure, theres two 64bit patchs one says content and one says us/uk. are they the same or? and do i have to patch to 1.4 before applying the 64bit patch...
