I think thats what they are called anyway,, ive just let him out of his cell and im in the yard with the two machine guns where he throws things at you,, ive used all my ammo and all the mounted gun ammo and feral attacked him aswell but he keeps coming at me?? is it possible to kill this thing,, i tried to just run but nowhere to go,lol

I think you're talking about Far Cry Instincts, and the first encounter with one of those fat one big-armed guys...

...bullets aren't much good against him (nor are the mounted guns, although you may get a bit of use out of them before he bends the barrels), explosions and feral punches are your best bit. Keep circling him closely to invoke and then dodge his thrusting punches, then feral punch him in the back. Repeat that a few times and you'll need more adrenaline or time to recoup, so jaunt around the outside finding stuff and getting ready for another set of circle->punch->circle...

When you aren't close to him his attack patterns change to hitting objects at you, just avoid by sidestepping.

To summarise: feral punch a load of times...he'll soon be on his back.

Aye it is, no idea how big this game is either. I've just got the track by scent ability, no idea how far through I am.

Im playing on hunter, I also have the aiming help on because I found it so hard to controll the crosshair, maybe because I was so used to mouse keyboard, I might chance it and switch it of if I beat this trigen thing, untill I got to this beast thing the difficulty has been just right, Ive been playing the game ''stealthy'' as opposed to spay and pray like I normally do Great game its held my attention the most out of all the games so far

Nice one mate took me about another 10 tries though but a few ferrals whipped his fat arse,,lol

I still cant believe how much im enjoying this game, I am sure its because it wasnt hyped up and I wasnt expecting much from it.. I played the PC version and lost interest when I got to the trigen bit, the monsters seemed almost invinsible on the pc and would jump at you a mile off,, still better not speak too soon as Ive still to encounter the main flow of monster yet

Does anyone know if it is safe to create and play a new game without losing your saves on the original game your playing, Id like to start a new game and play it on easy alongside this one to collect the rest of the secrets ive missed, but too scared to lose my saves, I remember playing through 3 levels of the outfit and accidently selected start new game and It wiped my saves, had to start again

In the sub-aquatic station level there are some damn annoying parts with storms of enemies at ya, i kepy running out of ammo lol. Finally managed it though, and i hate the damn Choppers!!

Acording to a level list i think im on the level 8 of 10

Yeah them choppers are a right pain, I never seem to have the rocket launcher available when they pop up Ive found that hiding behind a tree and sniping the gunner is quite effective as long as its not moving around too fast, The new ability you get on the sub aquatic level is pretty cool and well handy for the hoards of enemy you encounter, I almost didnt realise it was posible until I went near a mounted gun

W00t completed on Predator, was blooming hard though.

Gonna start on Evo story on hard aswell now, will enetually do all difficulties and get all the Phials too.. certainly a lot of life in this game - and ive not really touched the mutliplayer to much either

Nice one those vials are a right pain in the ****, I know ive got them all on the last couple of levels but missed loads on the first few levels, didnt even know about them till I found one in the armoury,, Damn these acheivements they are soo addictive. I think the measly 100 points for collecting every single one is a bit low, dont you?? I mean you get 1000 just for finishing kong,, 50 for getting out the dungeon in oblivion I mean WTF collecting all them vials is a right mission, got to be done though,lol,, also got to get the 40 stealth (shadow) kills acheivement...think ill try that on rookie

Does sneaking up and doing a feral punch count as stealth??

One thing thats annoying is that you cant go back to some places to get the vials you missed as an explosion or some other obstacle will block the way back Ive resisted using the cheats In fact I hate using any cheats in games though I may be tempted once ive completed it to use just the enable evolution cheat and run through quick just to get the missed vials BTW if you use cheats do you still get acheivements?? TBH I think if you cheat then acheivements should be unobtainable just to take away the temptation,,lol

ive never been a huge console gamer bar the xbox consoles so didnt really know they used cheats lol.

There are about 4 cheats if you look on the main menu in farcry you will see a cheats menu option,,, you can enable evolutions recover health or have unlimited ammo and if you enable these cheats then when you reboot the cheats are cancelled, but beware using the all maps cheat as once applied cannot be removed,,, Im same as you, I dont consider it cheating if youve completed it at the hardes level, I mean its still gonna be a massive challenge just finding all the vials, even if you do enable the cheats,,

The last level is actually pretty short compared to the rest, just go fo it

had a little play on evolutions and it seems to suffer from low fps, its a bit jittery,, the graphics dont look any more complex than instincts, Hope its not my 360' not dying again,,,
