Farcry Help

Just installed Farcry anyone know what patches I need to apply for it? Can't seem to find any.

1.31 is the latest and it's incremental.

Just noticed that the patches are on the DVD. Bit stupid really. :rolleyes:

it's not 1.4 is the latest and cumulative.

You've bought an 8800 and are playing a game over 3 years old?? Bit dated now.. Why not try S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?

Seriously though, I don't think a 8800 is wasted on FC. You've got 64bit content, SM3, HDR, Max settings, 16xAA/AF to take advantage of that power.

I originally completed the game on a 9800pro, but I later went back to it on a 6800gt. Wouldn't mind trying it again on my gf8 but I'll have to find the disk first!

dont patch up to 1.4, it will make the single player aspect worse, 1.3 should do you fine.

run farcry with 64bit content batch and you will be chuffed. can easilly tell the difference between baddies and rocks

There is a bug in the 1.4 patch that allows mercs to see and shoot through some of the buildings. Its most noticable on the pier level. The Mercs in the garage at the main camp can see and shoot you from inside.

The intention was to allow tents to be shot through in the multiplayer game, unfortunately non of the patch team, Crytek or UBI tested that sufficiently in the single player mode...

If you are just playing single player you should use patches 1.3, 1.31 and 1.33 (1.33 adds SM3.0 for ATI cards)

I have Stalker not really that impressed with it tbh. I had farcry when it first came out, never got round to finishing it plus my pc ran it pretty crap.

Now I finally have a new pc i'm going back and playing loads of old games. Playing Riddick also at the moment what a class game that is, I have missed loads of gem's.

IMO.... Farcy looks a lot better than Stalker

I wondered wtf was hitting me!! Near one of the first camps. There was a jeep inside a hanger that was shooting me I didnt know wtf was going on.

May have to go back to the 1.33 patch then.
