Farcry mouse not working?

OK so I'm going back over some classics with my new rig. Everything has been great until I tried Farcry. Its patched to 1.4 and i've not done the 64 bit patch (cause I forgot about it till just now). But the mouse doesn't work when in game, its fine in the menu. I can run around using the keyboard but not look?

In control options, set to default. Job done.

I did try changing the options, just not the default one

a stupid bug from patching unplayed version to 1.4, really stupid
