Farcry on vista64 issue!

Far Cry just won't do the "paradice" rendering setting in vista64 for me, otherwise it runs with the latest patch.

Your just adding the bits for dx9c. It wont overright the dx10 files.

I would seriously recommend installing the dx version on the farcry disc. If that solves your probs then you can work out a better solution from there.

Yep. Not that it should make a difference but I'm running the 64bit patch for it. Maybe give that a go?

Oh, that 64-bit patch. There's problems with it. For example, even though it installs the 64-bit files into a different folder, the 32-bit version no longer works, which does mean any custom maps (like one that i made) generally don't work.

I've just tried this only to get an error message!

Restart and try again, manually executing the dx installer from the disc if possible. If not try it the way you just have.

This is proving to be a pain in the arse.

Pain in the arse for sure. Just tried install dX of the disk, and it's told me that this version isn't needed since the version I have is newer
