Essex, innit?
After listening to that pig farmer guy on Radio Five yesterday, I have decided that I no longer want to shop at the big stores.

I want to try and support local farmers, local produce and happy chickens (well, animals)

We grow some of our own veg anyway, it it always tastes nicer.

Essex for example is famous, amongst other things, for apples. yet the apples in my local Sainsburys are from South Africa and are tasteless.

Now, it was mentioned that many local farmers are now online and deliver.

Anyone know of any in the Essex region who do this?
Anyone tried it?
etc etc.

I'm not sure where i would start looking.

Thanks

We are really lucky there is an ogranic butcher that sells only local produce just a couple of miles down the road, the produce is fantastic and worth the extra over supermaket stuff.

The chicken breasts they sell are massive, they obviously don't have to fit in a blue polystyrene container, the other meat they sell in just as good had a turkey from there for Xmas and it was A1.

Too far from Essex I guess ;)
