Farming Simulator 17 is being released on October 25th. New brands, new map, new features and now mod support on consoles too.

Similar to Euro/American Truck Sim it’s a game that you can unexpectedly lose hours to, and it’s simple enough for casual players to play but you can also ramp up to include fairly complex management of you farm if you choose.

Take on the role of a modern farmer in Farming Simulator 17! Immerse yourself in a huge open world loaded with new content: new vehicles, animals, crops, gameplay mechanics and a detailed North American environment!

Farming Simulator 17 offers rich online activities: play in co-operative multiplayer up to 16 players, and download mods created by the passionate community for unlimited content and an ever-evolving Farming Simulator 17 experience.
• Over 250 vehicles and tools
• Over 75 licensed brands including Challenger, Fendt, Valtra, Massey Ferguson
• New crops: soy beans and sunflowers
• Animal husbandry with cows, sheep, pigs
• Transport your goods with trains
• Play with your friends on the Internet in multiplayer mode

System Requirements
• Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
• 2.0 GHz Intel or equivalent AMD dual-core processor
• Nvidia Geforce GTS 450, AMD Radeon HD 6770 graphics card or better (min 1GB VRAM)
• 2 GB RAM
• 6 GB free hard drive space
• Soundcard
• DVD-ROM Drive (only for retail version)

Mod maps will likely require higher specs, particularly highly detailed British maps, but it’s a fairly undemanding game generally. Anything above a GTX 950/960 and you’ll be running at 60FPS at 2560x1440.

I would be more interested if they had not borked the PC over the Consoles.

I pre ordered 15 as I have 100's of hours invested in FS 11 and 13. However from the get go 15 was a console port. The menus were console driven, the PDA was gone and much of the feel of the game was missing. Support was lacking when issues were pointed out and PC patches all but disappeared once the Xbox 1 was live. Only the modding scene saved it and then that was hampered by scripts not being made available so limiting some of the more creative mods. I will have a look at it once released, however given it is a multi platform realease I dont hold out much hope TBH

I think it's fair to say they've learned from their script documentation mistake... ;)

As many of you might know, that I'm one of the guys behind CoursePlay for fs13-fs15.

About a week ago Giants contacted Thomas Gärtner (The other CP developer) if there were anything they could do to help with, porting CP over to FS17.

We made some suggestions, like getting the script documents before time, so we could start looking into what have been changed since last time, but that we still would have to wait until the game was released. Since all out testing is done in-game, and without an early access version of the game, it would hold us back.

We then got an reply back from Giants saying that an early access version was not really possible, but they had another great idea. They invited Thomas and myself over to Zurich for a couple of days in the launch week (24th to 26th October) with flight and hotel paid and only needed to get the days off from work.
That way they can help porting it over to FS17 with there scripters and help making optimisations for it as well + we will have access to the full game script while we are there.

Unfortunate Thomas can't go because of his work, but I was lucky to get those days off from work, which means: I'M GOING TO ZURICH Cheesy

I'm really happy about it and is looking forward to meet the guys behind Farming Simulator.

Kind regards
An Happy Satis
