Previously I could not set the full fast boot in the BIOS by disabling CSM as my graphics card wasn't compatible and the BIOS would give me a message to that effect during boot up.
I have now installed an MSI R9 290 Gaming edition so thought I would try the fast boot again; I disabled the CSM in the BIOS and now I can boot all the way to the Windows logo without issue but then the system just shuts down.
I have installed the latest BIOS as well and am using Window 7 64bit. OS is installed on an SSD which is set up correctly with an EFI partition (it took 3 OS installs to get it right when I originally did this and I have just checked again in Computer Management system tool) and the SSD is recognised in the BIOS as an EFI drive / Windows Boot Manager. I am using AMD Catalyst drivers 14.1 (beta).
If anybody has any experience of similar issues or getting the Crosshair Formula Z to run fast boot with Windows 7 I would appreciate some advice.
Thanks,
