fast forwarding nfs mw!

hi
i jus loaded up my nfs mw and when i scroll thru menus or play a race its like its fast forwarding! it goes really, really fast! i know my pc is fast but not that fast lol.
can any1 shed any light on this weirdness?
i have pld it b4 ytday and it was excellent.

Does it go slow and then real fast? If so, it means you're lagging bad.

If you have a dual core cpu try setting the affinity to one core.
