Fast graphics card under 10"?

I was looking for a GPU for a mini-ITX build.
The only problem is the case I would be using (FT03 Mini) can only hold cards up to 10", and I wanted a pretty high end card.
But from my research they all seem to be about 11". Am I missing out on something? Is there something similar or faster than say, a GTX 770 or an R9 280x that would fit this case, with a blower cooler preferably (not necessary) and budget not being a problem?

I know about the Direct CU II mini cards, but a 760 is just a tad too slow for me, I'd prefer something faster than that.

If you google "ft03 mini graphics card" - first result takes you to a forum with a link to a custom pcb 7970 that's under 10". R9 280x is sort of a rebranded 7970.

That 7970 on the forum post doesn't have a blower style cooler though, so wouldn't be great throwing all the hot air back into that case, though ill take a look at the temps it runs at it could still be ok if there was enough open space to keep the airflow going through the bottom of the case up to the top. Still though, thats probably the best non blower style card so thanks for the info.

I seem to remember there being a 670 on here with a mini pcb. That would be my choice if they're still available.

The mini GTX760 is just a better version of it.

However the case allows him around 262mm. Which is enough to get some of the smallest 7950/7970/280/GTX770 and probably GTX780

I don't have the case with me to measure up at the moment, but I know for sure that to fit a 10.5" card you have to mod the case and cut a hole into the bottom, and there is also a screw in the way holding the fan / filter on, and that also loses you a few mm, so the 10 1/3" measurement you gave sounds about exact, though would be an extremely tight squeeze.

Edit: Panos, the power supply is sfx and mounted above the motherboard, it doesn't interfere with the graphics card space at all, though you reminded me also to make sure there would also be enough room for the power connectors. Also the MSi card you linked is 10.47" in length, barely too long to fit.

Just measure and see what you can do to gain as much space as you can, and then get a card with the clear measurements on hand.

I hope someone who has could be able to helps us here.

To give you an indication my Powercolor 7950s PCS+ are 265mm from case end to cooler end. (the length taken inside the box)
10.44 inches.

Just an update, I gave the FT03 mini to a friend since it can't hold most of the new gen graphics cards I've looked at. I will probably be switching to the EVGA Hadron Air if I can find a Blu-ray drive that fits the case. I will try and get the measurements for you if I can though but hes away at the moment. :D
