Usually, I dont bother getting really fast memory as my camera cant write at fast speeds, so a sandisk ultra II is sufficient. However, does this play a part in USB2 transfer speeds too?
ie, the time taken to copy (using USB2 card reader) a full 8GB sandisk extreme IV is a lot faster than an Ultra II 8GB? Just that im in the market for new memory, but dont know what real world difference. Marketting numbers suggest the extreme IV is upto 40Megabytes/sec while the ultra II is 10Megabytes/sec. With the USB2 interface being upto 60Megabytes/sec. In practise, im dubious about the figures, but anyway, does it still mean copying the data across will take a quarter of the time when using the card that costs £50 more?
