published 19 games so far

i'm guessing a few more studios as wel will go similare route

VR is a niche to begin with, it has never really caught on to a viable extent outside of being supplemental. It's fantastic in some respects, SIM rigs etc, but it's not a gaming platform in of itself and anyone thinking that it was is barmy.

Developing VR Only games specifically was a recipe for disaster, especially in the current climate.

Judging from their Steam pages there's a couple of hundred people invested at best for any of the listed releases.

VR is a niche yes but it's growing all the time and generating billions in revenue for the market leader. About fast travel games laying off people saying it's an uncertain time for VR, I don't agree, it might be an uncertain time for them, have you heard of them or their games? I hadn't. If they'd made Batman or Asgards 2 I'm sure they wouldn't be in the position they are now. If the product isn't excellent = doesn't sell = layoffs.

the curious tales of the stolen pets
BlackForge
Project Demigod

I've only really heard of into the radius on that list which sold well afaik (itr2 not so well afaik but it's in beta) and a google search tells me cm games made it

Edit : Google says fast travel games may have co-published ITR with the developer who was CM Games. Even if they profited from ITR most other titles remain obscure probably due to poor quality or limited appeal. With only one well known game it’s unlikely the studio can sustain producing numerous subpar games imo.

I'm surprised really there aren't any more official flat to VR ports. These are cheap and easy to make if you have the source code.

Modders are kicking it out of the park with recent VR mods like Crysis. I'd have gladly paid for an official VR port that was optimised to run on modern multicore processors.

The fact that many of these mods are free just blows my mind tbh, even the paid one's, apart Luke Ross's (not having a dig, his mods are amazing and must take a lot of doing, it's just they are afaik more expensive than the other paid mods) are inexpensive like the Team Beef ports.
