Faster DDR4 worth it for high end gaming PC?

Hi chaps

I'm after a bit of advice on a new rig that I'm building for a friend. It has to run 4k games at 60+FPS ideally with high graphics settings.

The question I have is regarding the DDR4 ram speeds/latency. Is it worth running high speed memory, such as 8 packs kits or would there be next to no performance increase over say a 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance kit? System spec;

i9 - 10900k
Nvidia 3080Ti (pending release)
32GB Ram
4K 120hz monitor (i believe?)

It will be overclocked

Get the 8pack kit. Memory speed makes a big difference, and the price different isn't that great, so absolutely worth it.

Given that spec you should absolutely get some decent RAM. I don't think it is as critical with Intel but worth searching it some reviews to see where diminishing returns kicks in.

Cheers chaps, after doing some more reading and your comments, it does seem that it's worth running the 8Pack ram. We have it ordered
