hi guys. Currently im with bt internet and well they are the only internet providers in my area. My area totaly sucks its like living on a farm anyhow just wanted to see if there was any new way that i could possibly bump up my internet connection i can only get 1mb internet connection in my area which totaly sucks ass.

LOL Moving out is totaly out the question.

If you can get BT you can get any other adsl provider, do a line check and see what it states you should be getting, are you on may or fixed speed ? Also as stated ine stats/more info on your connection to the line would help a lot...

not sure if this is what you needed but just done a speed test and got this.

the only other internet providers in my area are bethere.co.uk and blueyonder contacted both and they both confirmed that i cant get faster then 1mb. just wanted to know if theres anything out there that could possibly give me faster internet speeds. sorry for the lack of info. really dont know much about comps but am willing to learn.

Put your phone number into the phone search. If your exchange supports LLU and the like then you should be able to get be. Be should be able to offer you much better speeds.

whats wrong with 1mb? I was happy on 512 for years. I'd still be happy on it now had NTL not gone and upgraded me for free!

From the sound of it you are probably miles from you exchange and have an old line.

Without having a new line laid, which i doubt bt would do, the only other options are probably satellite or wireless. Both which are pretty expensive and not necessarily available.

I think, although dont quote me on this, is that Be* wont look at anyone if their line is to long ie: attn of 55-60+

You could enter your stats Here to see what speed you may get.

I didnt know that thats me screwed then.

If you can get Blueyonder you can get 10mbit unless you are in a non digital area (and in that case you won't get broadband). The exception is south end on sea but don't get me started on that...
