At home I have a lovely 50mb Virgin line which is nice and fast as you'd expect.

At work however Virgin business only offer 20mb (if you're happy with a dynamic IP) or for some reason the best they can do is 10mb if you need a static IP (which I do)

I know that Virgin do a 100mb for business but at £22k per year on a 5yr deal it's out of the question (I work for a charity)

Is it possible to purchase a nice router which would be capable of bonding several 10 or 20mb lines?

I know of many ISPs that will offer bonded ADSL/ADSL2+ lines, but AFAIK Virgin won't bond multiple cable lines.

Also, Virgin business is criminally terrible.

I'm guessing you wish to stay with Virgin, but another alternative would be FTTC (or even FTTP in some limited places) or bonded DSL from someone like http://www.aaisp.net.uk (I suspect they are considerably better at supporting a business internet connection than Virgin).

BE do bonded DSL if you have BE in your area.

If you can get a good rate on this (IE at home I can get 19mb) you could bond two lines.

Not sure if you can bond two or more though, might be worth checking it out?

It's technically very difficult to bond cable connections, better bet would be multiple tunnels (1 per line) and load balancing over them. That requires a router you control at both ends (so one in a datacenter somewhere) and is best done with Cisco or similar gear. It's also imperfect but I have done it before as a proof of concept.

We've had BE internet here twice now and on both occasions they were really flaky, we rarely had more than 2 days of solid uptime. Virgin have been really good to be honest although I just wish they were faster. I just can't comprehend how they can offer 50mb for home users but not business.
