Faster Memory in Laptop

Will faster DDR2 PC2-5300C5 667MHz memory work ok in laptop that has
DDR2 PC2-4200 533MHz fitted,the manual says memory should be 533MHz
fitted.
Would the PC2-5300-667MHz still work in it albeit at slower speed,thanks.

Yup it should work fine. It'll just run at the slower speed.
