faster or not ?

Sorry if it was a stupid question but the 6800ultra was a £300 card not so long ago & the 8600gt can be bought for £56, so just wanted to be sure.....:D
Thanks for the link KelticDaz, just thinkin about building a cheap system but it may be worth me holding out till next month :D
