Faster ram worth it?

your minimums may improve depending on which game, avg fps not so much
personally, i wouldn't make that jump
Well, I've already sold the ram in my sig as I was intending to sell the entire rig due to space issues, now Ive moved rooms around and can keep the system, but need ram again and thought hmm even though the 3600mhz was super good, should I go faster, think il just order the same or similar 3600 or even 3800 depending on price :)
My understanding is that RAM speed not so important on Intel. More relevant for AMD.
Thank you :)

You could struggle getting a 4400 kit to work plus they're still very expensive unless you can find a good second hand deal.

3600 flat 14 timings, 3800 flat 15s or 4000 flat 16s is all you need really with secondary and tertiary timings also dialled in.

Make sure it's Samsung B-die as bringing the tRFC down makes a fairly big difference alone for gaming.

Im not sure if I should ask here or open a new thread but I basically have the same question,
Would more ram. faster ram and or timing make much of a difference I have 16gb x2 8gb 3200 16 and was wondering, if something with lower timing or better speeds make a different or just getting more ram.

also I recently upgraded to a 5800x

@2013 More RAM is only useful if you are actually running out - 2 sticks is generally always a better option than 4, so if you did need more ram, then better off getting 2x16GB sticks.

As with the previous advice above - at least 3600 (1800Mhz Infinity fabric speed) and tightest timings you can will make a bit of difference

Thanks and would it be worth the price for upgrade or would it not make as much of a difference.

It depends on the games you play, but can be between 5 and 15% difference in both minimum and average frame rates

Thanks, I don't play a lot of games lately, but I do like RPG would be some games like hogwards legacy and eldern ring, need for speed.

there are many videos comparing, it seems to depend on the game and how much gap between RAM speeds, what CPU you have and that kind of thing.

some games only get a few FPS extra and other games 10+ is possible i think
