Hi, im looking to replace my BT home hub 2 with a new modem.
Which one would be best to make the most of the 2Mb line speed i currently have?
It doesn't need to be WiFi as it will just plug straight into a whole house gigabit network and wireless N router.
Are there any specific features i need to be looking out for?

Thanks

Any, tbh - ADSL routers can handle far more than 2Mbps and specific ones aren't going to make much difference.

The only reason to go for the top spec ones is for the other features (dmz/port forwarding/wireless N/gigabit/QoS etc) but you've presumably got most of that through your network hardware if you're running gigabit and wireless N - I'd just make sure that you get one with decent port forwarding, as that can cause problems when you can't open up bits of the network you want.

Thanks :)

Looking in to it i have two options. The BT Home Hub 3 or something like the Billion BiPAC 7800 (which seem the best of the bunch)

Is the Billion likely to give a faster, more stable connection? People seem to rave about this product but i'm not sure of the advantages and the BT hub seems way overpriced.

Has anyone had experience with this modem?

All broadcom based modems will perform the same in this country, you'd need to take them to a lab to distinguish between different chip versions.
