I'd suggest you elaborate on your requirements. If indeed you have any and haven't just decided to post a random crap thread, that is.

I've found that Windows pretty much nearly always boots at around the same speed on a decent server. Whether the server is a single cpu, or quad varying amounts of ram etc. From a base install that is.

Definitely this, dont install too many Firefox plugins though unless you upgrade the RAM.

I'd reccomend getting a second 6 core CPU and 128gb RAM if you intend to use flash

+1.

Definitely have two 10GbE links to your ADSL router.

Maybe buy a filtered power cord so the electrons are neatly lined up going into your computer?

you will need a Dell PowerEdge R900 with dual 6-core CPUs, and 128Gb of DDR3, with a load of SAS drives to get a decent browsing speed, I recommend IE 6 as well.

Edit: looks like I wasn't the only one with a 12 core 128gb monster idea for this :P

Actually I wouldnt use local storage at all, iSCSI hardware initiator linked to a Sun open storage server crammed with SSDs in RAID-Z
