Did a search but didn't find anything, what's the fastest single slot pcie card at the moment? Is there anything around the 1900xt 256mb mark performance and price wise?
 
X1900XT-X/X1950XT-X is the fastest around, with the 7900GTX in the middle, but they are all within 5%.

X1900XT 512 + 256mbs arn't far behind that.

I'd go for a X1900XT 512 but a 256mb is only a few FPS behind the 512mb :)
 
By single slot I'm implying the cooler doesn't take over the pci slot next to it, right? I thought those mammoth cards required huge heatsinks.
 
How much space does a zalman vf-900 take up cos if it only takes one space then you can stick that on a 1900xt and chop off the ventilation bit.
 
7950GT - single slot cooler - pricewise its too expensive for performance offered, imo, as its slower than the X1900XT 256MB.
7900GT - single slot cooler - many have had their faults, but closer to the price if not performance of a X1900XT.
X1900GT - single slot cooler - slowest of the three cards mentioned, but no reliability issues & also the cheapest.
