Fastest speed

Im just curious as to what kinda speeds everyone has experianced as a driver and or as a passenger (on a private road of course

Myself:
Driver - 135mph (Vectra SRi 150)
Passenger - 155mph (Integra Type R F1) Owner reackons he has had 170mph out of it and was still going.

I had 130mph out of my 3.0l Omega (I've actually got a video of it somewhere

) but I've never felt the urge to really push the envelope in the cars I've owned so far.

Maybe one day I'll hit the magical 200mph barrier

Worse thread ever! How many people on here do you think have calibrated speedometers?

For example...

First Rover 214 = 125 on the clock
Second Rover 214 = 110 on the clock

Been a passenger doing about 130 in a F355 back when I owned a 1.2 corsa with a top speed of a glacier.

Driver = indicated 175mph GSXR 750 SRAD (I'm naughty

Passenger = approx 145mph 3.0 Senator on the Autobahn. There were big BM's and Mercs passing us like we were stood still too :eek:

Very true, and it is probably the worse thread ever..but its still an indication (give or take)

I used to have a Honda engined Rover 216GTI, totally standard about from back box and the very first Pipercross induction kit (they used my car as the test bed for them

) and the speedo read 130mph.

150mph in my dads Jag. I was a passenger of course. Was on a road to Coventry.
Its an 5.3ltr V12 XJS btw. Decatted and opened up air intakes.

Fastest I 've ever been on a private road is an indicated 145 mph on a Kawasaki gpz900r many years ago. Never been over 120 in a car.

driver - 100mph pug 206 1.6

Not really bothered about top speed, itd probably do 140mph, been about 115mph in my back garden.

I have had my TT upto around 150 mph I think I chould have got another 20 mph out of it buy did not feel that safe.

Passenger, 155 mph and I was not happy about that
