Why does it matter ? Both were on my driveway

Persil

I recall you almost crying at me for posting that I was in a car going 155mph yet you have been just as fast, it would be highly hypocritcal of you.

Did 111mph in my sunny and it had plenty left in it. It was only about 6 months after i had passed and have never gone that fast again.

Don't see the point in speeding on roads.

tblocksom, No offence but I would have thought you would know it's called a vRS and not an RS with you owning one.

Driving = 120mph indicated - 1.6 Focus, it was about dieing at that speed aswell. :p

Passenger = ~140mph - 420 GSi turbo, I was too busy worrying about the roundabout coming up then have a good long look at the speedo.

I beg to differ :D

Mine (and my friends) are both Sep '01 models, at which time it was still called the Octavia RS. It wasn't until later that Skoda UK had to rename it to vRS (with the v alledgedly standing for victory, or the v sign, depending who you talk to ;)).

97mph.... fiesta 1.25lx :p :o

that was downhill btw  :D

not bad considering the top speed is 105 for a 1.25lx....i think?

Sure it's not FI?
Sorry for the delay in responding to this.....

One of my old bosses was a big Honda nut, always bought Hondas for years. When the Integra Type-R first came out, now this is what he says....Honda UK asked him if he would like to buy a very limited edition race tuned Integra Type-R F1 (im sure thats what he called). It produced something like 300bhp and was race tuned etc etc.

When I was in the car with him, we certainly did 150mph in it and it still had plenty left in it. He did several track days in it etc etc and claims he had 170mph out of it.

Maybe someone could shed some more light on it?
