Fastest speed

Sorry for the delay in responding to this.....

One of my old bosses was a big Honda nut, always bought Hondas for years. When the Integra Type-R first came out, now this is what he says....Honda UK asked him if he would like to buy a very limited edition race tuned Integra Type-R F1 (im sure thats what he called). It produced something like 300bhp and was race tuned etc etc.

It'd be a right job to get a DC2 up to 300bhp without some serious amount of work, work that "Honda UK" wouldn't be in the slightest bit interested in doing. Not so difficult if Honda strapped a Turbo or SC to it, but let's face it -that's not exactly Honda's style or Type R tradition is it.

The DC5's you see on TV in the BTCC are pushing around 300bhp from a 2.0 K20.

Fishy...

Thats what i thought at the time, I do know that there was a problem with the engine though and had to be replaced twice, both times the engine coming direct from Japan. I could be wrong about the 300bhp, but i do remember there being a numbered plaque type thing down on the centre console somewhere...dont know if thats on every Integra Type-R though.

All I do know for sure, was that it was extremely quick...and when we went out in it nothing could keep up at all, and we did race a M3 and left it for dead.

I dont know if this was a factory option on the Integra Type-R's, im guessing it probably was though, in the front lower bumper it had two round spotlights with black surrounds around them.

Driver = 175mph (indicated) - RX7
Passenger = 140 ish - rover 623 GSI
Bike = 107mph (bouncing off the limiter in 6th lol) - Aprilia RS125

My car (corsa 1.2): 110

And i think thats the fastest i have been in a car tbh

Merlin saw you today at lunch just coming of the wolverhampton road:p You need to wash your car btw;)

rs125: Where are you based? If you are near Bristol I can recommend a brilliant RX7 mapper who is VERY reasonably priced.

Yep you can't go wrong with those guys, but the mapper I am talking about is easily as good and charges considerably less. He maps for RX Motors and has a 500+ bhp FD himself. He also maps my car and my map is spot on, the fuelling is bang-on and the power curve is lovely and smooth (see my sig).

Drop me an e-mail: drexel at blueyonder dot co dot uk and I'll send you his contact details.

Oh, and I'm not just saying this because Greg is a friend of mine, see this thread for other people's opinions of his mapping skills:

Fastest speed ive been in a car was the top speed of the fastest car ive had, so 165mph on the GPS, or 180 ish indicated.
