Fastest speed

Passenger - 125mph in a Seat Ibiza Cupra (Mk2 kiwi yellow one with a 2.0 8v) on a busy Autobahn with the sunroof up.

Oh please!!! There just happened to be a tuned Cossie passing as you hit the limiter? yeah right .

Yes as a matter of fact, would you like to ask the forum member whose car it was? I found out whose cossie it was, nice bloke with some impressive mods!

And so yer old man is older than me...so what!! Has he ridden bikes for 20 years? No .. Has he raced .. i doubt it ... does he do track days ...doubt it .. does he do 30k+miles a year ? probably not ... Shall i go on? Bit of new money with a flash car ..

Blah blah blah, i'd stop there before you embarrass yourself:) You are just making yourself look like a pillock.

This isn't a ******* contest, mearly pointing out that you are a hypocrite in your posts. Even if they are 2 years apart.

Also, new money? You have no idea what you are on about:) Keep your rolleyes to yourself please, jealousy isn't a good look for you.

i too dont quiet understand why people say it isnt safe to "speed" if the road (motorway) is clear. in that case the only person you are putting at risk is yourself..

on a busy motorway, doing 100 while everyone else is doing 70 is just stupid, someone is bound to misjudge your speed and pull infront of you to overtake, in mear milliseconds you could have a closed motorway in your hands.......

kinda like that video where a bike is doing 280k (i think?) hes going along, and the video is too bad quality, but probably half a mile up the road someone pulls out doing 100k to overtake someone. The bike was probably on max brakes all the way to the guys back bumper where he only just missed...

I agree with everything you have wrote mate. The motorway was clear and the limiter was hit twice and then slowed back down to normal speeds. (getting to the limiter from 70 happens very quickly in a 500bhp car:p)

Well since i never started this and i get comments like " my old man was driving cars when you were still wearing nappies " do you expect me to leave it ?
And funnily enough so were you Gurdas when i was driving
Also i dont apparently drive 30k+ I DO drive it ... Atm my 03 Zafira has 127k on the clock!!

I'm honestly trying not to be a **** mate but it was your comments about the whole issue that sparked it all off, I'm just trying to point out your hypocricy. Also, i'm sure you do "30k+" in your zafira;):p What happened to your mustard coloured xsara?

No swearing. FF

Zafira = Company car

Xsara = Own car (well wifes)

The thing is i dont know how you work out i am hypocrite. I dont make a habit of jumping on the bandwagon when the OCUK team investigate people .
No where have i ever said speeding was bad ..
You dragged this up from months ago (or years) just to have a dig at me although at the time of yer post half the forum flamed you .

Its just a pity your post about that incident was not saved somewhere as from your description from what i can recall the roads were busy you were racing (to a degree) . Buying a fast expensive car does not give you the skill to drive it wether you are 20 or 50 .

As for the jealousy .. Sure i dont own a modern 5(or was it 6) bed house on a new estate or some flash Merc but not all of us want such things ...And since there your fathers and not yours you dont really have anything to brag about .

belive it or not engine braking on a bike is much much more than it is on a car, the guy probably just rolled off the throttle.

You are always 'investigating' people, even flibster when talking about his previous job testing all those nice cars. I'm not having a dig at you, just highlighting that you are a hypocrite, I have highlighted others hypocricy before so don't think it's just you. There was no traffic, how is it even feasible doing 155mph when there is traffic on the roads? I recall you making comments like 'oh let me know when you are on the road so I can stay inside etc. etc.'. No need.

You are still making prejudgements now, my dad is a very experienced driver and is capable of driving high performance cars.

Are you really not jealous? If so where did the comment about 'new money' come from? How can you even justify that comment.

due to high revs and compression ? I guess thats good for cornering or something but I hope it doesnt make it dive as well

Driver: 106mph. It was about 112mph indicated, but it was definitely as fast as it would go and the manufacturer's reported top speed is 106mph.
Passenger: ~120mph in my dad's old 3.0 litre Vauxhall Senator

Both on empty motorway uhh I mean an abandoned airfield

might have something to do with the weight of a bike compared to a car.

by dive im not sure what you mean but i know my bike stays very stable under heavy braking, even when the back wheel is "squirming" about it's not hard to control.

Passenger (ish) ~120mph, vertically DOWN. I don't have/not allowed a GPS to get exact speed yet but I'm sure Freefaller will agree its about the most fun 120mph! :D

:D Definitely.

I think I win here for fastest speed without an engine though ;) 187mph
