I just wondered what is the fastest setup for read and write access?

I've seen SSDs which used PCIE, there's RAIDO 0, there's separate RAID controller cards etc.

So if money wasnt an obstacle, what would be the fastest setup for a workstation? Please include product name and setup config.

Off the top of my head (and im no expert) i thought it would be 4x Micron SSDs, in a RAID 0 with a specialised RAID controller card??

Oh and what would the Read/Write MB/s be (if you know)?

From the PCI-E link above, even they suggested this in RAID0 would be better:

Crucial C300

whats the best dedicated raid controller, if you wasnt going to use your onboard mobo one?

The 1880ix is fast I have one, but still trying to decide what drives to hang off it I have 2 Intel 80 GB at minute. The raid card only came out in the last month so availability may be scarce bought mine from the Netherlands.

Had my Revo for a couple of months now and its still lightning fast. Don't appear to need TRIM as long as you leave some unallocated slack on the drive - currently have 100gb available to be used with 12gb slack. Revos use Sandforce and do their own maintenance when idle or so it would appear. Still very impressed with it although I did have a 'cannot boot issue' which was easy to cure once I found out how. Will buy another one soon :)

@TheBiznes I take it you currently have 512mb cache did you get one of the 1880s with exchangable ram? On the other forum I linked to the some guys have upgraded to 4gb ram with massive speeds.
