I decided to test the read speed and to my suprise:

Can this be right because the read speed on this is only suppose to be ~15MB and the seek time.

EDIT: Just copied a 2GB file and write speed were ~13MB/s instead of 9.

I never thought of testing flash drives with HD tune, I might try mine later. I'm looking for a good usb stick as it's my preferred choice for installing Windows these days.

My 16GB Kingston Data Traveller for the car gets the same:

(4GB Cruzer below)

Aye, it's all about the Rally2 - great stick, amazingly fast for the prrice :)

No point testing like that in HDDTune. Use ATTO or Crystal to check reads and writes for a variety of sizes, that'll show the differences between the drives. They'll all have about the same seq reads.

OT, but in the picture, is the bottom one a fake?
Stick on 16GB sticker instead of printed/etched on like the top one, makes it looks suspect.

I was thinking this myself (whether HD tune is really the best tool to use)

Datatraveller in the car has high read speeds but falls low on writes compared to my 16GB Rally2 which is my every-day working drive where writes matter.

99% reads are done in the car for MP3s so I couldnt care less about write on it :D

a lot of manufactures manufacturer identical casing for all sizes and just stick a sticker on, its cheaper than manufacturing different casing for each size.

That's about the price for this degree of speed - check out 16GB Bytestor for a better speed and more competitive quote
