fastest way to burn cals?

I've got a mate who works in a gym and he swears by the cross trainer. There's a guy in there I've named Mr Motivator too as he's always there and without sounding gay has a great body. He spends at least an hour on those things every time I see him and he doesn't have a single gram of bodyfat.
 
ok thanks mate, yeah i here good things on these cross trainers, i do get board on them, but can do the max setting for 30mins if i day dream, i wanna be able to do an hour!
 
anything that gets you moving and into the right BPM zone for your age :]
its good to vary exercises, so instead of say 45 mins just on xtrainer, do 15 mins on treadmill, 15 on xtrainer, 5 on rower (can do some 100/200 slow/fast splits, should get 1400m+) and 10 on bike.

this stops you getting so bored ;]
 
I would say it would be between the cross trainer and the rowing machine.

A good thing to do is (as said) mix it up and move from one piece of kit to another but also to mix up the pace a bit. So say you get on the cross trainer and warm up at a nice sedate pace for 5 mins to get the blood flowing and a bit of a sweat, then up the pace, then balls out for one minute, then slow it down slightly..you get the idea.

My gym has a climber...its like a vertical beam with hand and foot holds and you climb by alternating your leg and arm movements...that can be a bit cheeky.
 
I usually find that the treadmill or ski machine burn the most calories, then the cross trainer/bike then rower.
And as said, mix it up, it makes it less boring and you get a feel of which one you will prefer.
