Fat...?

There's levels of being large. The girl in the OP is just fat, where-as the girl on the right here:

I could quite happily bone.

Looks a bit shopped, but good picture in terms of discussion, the middle girl is pretty much as thin as you should get, boning a skeleton aint comfortable, trust me!

EDIT, also dress size is rubbish, it doesnt seem to take into account height, taller people should be reletivley bigger, a size 10 woman who is 5'8 is anorexic if you ask me, but if she was a shortie, maybe 5 foot, probably ok.

no they can't.

Genetics don't apply to specific groups, you can train specific groups but the genetic condition that leads to more muscle is a full body thing the protein affects all muscle equally otherwise you'd need a different version of myostatin for every single muscle group.

Do you even understand genetics?

talking about shape specifically when i mention abs ;)

maybe you should google ab genetics?

Muscle shape genetics sure, muscle size genetics, yeah ok

Actually shape is more unlikely.

Size is easy, you have a pair of genes that code for myostatin production, 2 normal one s= normal person 1 normal one broken = bigger than average person with no work, 2 broken = massive person with no work, but you'll probbaly die of a heart condition as it hardens from too much muscle.

example this is a normal whippet.

this is a whippet that has two broken genes and doesn't produce myostatin

happens more often than most in whippets as the one good one broken gene = a healthy and much faster racing dog than a normal whippet, so occasionaly when two are bred for racing you end u pwith a bully whippet.

Meh i worded my post badly. Muscle shape genetics are obvious and do happen. Ab variation is crazy, i have some weird bicep shape going on etc etc. I really meant muscle size in relation to not working out and single large growths that wont happen. Basically i agree with you......

clearly you have never heard of black genetics then, plz go :o

it's the reason why they excel in so many sports but not swimming, something to do with natural muscle density

er, you have this slightly wrong.

Black people have a naturally lower body fat % compared to white people. This is what makes it easier to give that "ripped" appearance. Also, black skin shows definition better hence why white bodybuilders paint that gunk on themselves.

This lower fat percentage is also 1 of the reasons they are not great swimmers as they don't naturally float as well as people with a higher body fat i.e. white people. Also, black people are reported to have a higher bone density making floating in water harder

lol is that 2nd picture real? Im from London so dont knwo much about Whippets and flat caps.

I'm just reading the tail end of this discussion, but surely genetics determine both size and shape.

Just like some people will naturally have larger muscles than others. The shape is also determined by genes and can't be easily influenced by training.

Also that's one bad ass dog posted up there!!

Then you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what anorexia is, and quite a strange view of anatomy.

Very much so, my sister nearly killed herself with anorexia in her teens. To be fair though, most people don't have the first clue about it.

The girl in the op's post is just fat though tbh. When I say that I mean it in the most literal terms though, I don't think she is very fat at all, but she has too much body fat basically, she's overweight in other words and could lose a couple of stone.

Yes, there's a picture of a massive bull with the same condition floating around too.

There's cows called belgian blue's, the whole breed is like that.

I train my ass off 5 days a week and those lazy ba***rds walk around eating grass all day and look like that :D
