Fatal1ty and sennheiser rs 45?

Would the Fatal1ty be overkill for those headphones?
I have the headphones and seeing all the hype people get from the X-Fi cards I wonder if it would be a worthy thing to include in my new rig

If not thinking pc headphones... what brands are THE brands for headphones out there?

Not necessarily. What is important is the soundquality. I can always attach a microphone

Well honestly when you buy headphones you get what you pay for. Any headphones from known high quality producers in the higher end price range will be amazing.

i went from pc155 sennheiser's to Steelsound 5H and i was amazed how much better the 5h's are! although i am running a xfi-Fatal1ty
