Hi

i have just been given the opportunity to get one of these off a mate for £35.

am just wondering how good a board it is, i would probably be using with a Q6600 and hoping to overclock it somewhat.

is this an ok board for the job (gaming rig) or should i spend more on a newer chipset

seems like this is a lesser board for overclocking, shame!.

it's not as bad a board as it's painted by some but afaik there isn't one mobo based on 650i SLI that fsb overclocks a quad more than middle 300s.
better to buy a cheap or s/h P35 if you don't need the SLI ability.

Don't bother, it's a terrible board. I had the misfortune of having one for a short time. Better off getting a Gigabyte P31 DS3L.
