Ive had this mobo for couple of years but currently upgrading a few parts of my system and was thinking about changing the mobo as well. What are your thoughts on this mobo?

What upgrades did you have in mind?

The chipset wont suppoet the Q8xx/Q9xxx 45nm quad cores but it will wotk with 45nm Dual cores, E5xxx/E8xxx series

If you dont need SLI then a P45 board would be a good choice :)

Dont need SLI anymore, currently have a e6750 dual core, but everywhere ive read said the Fatality mobo isnt that great.

Id say i have about £100-£150 to spend on the mobo alone, would like to get something that can overclock fairly well.

Currently upgrading my ancient graphics card, new power supply and a cpu cooler. Possibly ram if i get a new mobo.

I was in the exact same position as you a week ago, I had a FP-IN9 and brought an e8400 to upgrade my pc. Upgraded my bios to version 18 for the 45nm support and the chip worked fine, the only problem is that I wanted to overclock and could only get it stable @ 3.25ghz (not a very big overclock). So I brought a B-grade P5Q from a competitor for £65, updated the bios and now have my e8400 @4.25ghz 6hrs prime stable (with voltages on Auto).

So I would recommend the P5Q as it is an brilliant board and should allow you to really push the processor to the limits.
