Fault Xbox360's

Just a daft question, but there a thousands of xbox360's with 3 red lights etc on the bay.

Are they repairable (Self repair), or whats the point in selling them?

The xclamp fix looks sensible, as long as its not been run for too long after it went faulty.

Maybe just look for a cheap reconditioned one.,

I bought another for £40 which wasn't reading discs, tweaked the pot and its been fine ever since. I'd buy one with a faulty DVD drive if your looking for a cheap 360, much easier to fix than the rrod.

Is the Open Tray error just a fault drive?
