Hey OC community, i brought my rig from OC back in febuaryish and its been semi flawless since now. Over the last few weeks ive expierenced a large amount of problems with the whole rig itself and i have no idea where to start pointing the finger at as i seem to get too many different errors.

Heres my rig:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus Case - Black
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor
MSI P67A-C45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge)
XFX Pro 650W Core Edition '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
HIS ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ)
GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz VALUE PLUS Dual Channel (GVP34GB1600C9DC)
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler (Socket 939 / AM2 / AM3 / 775 / 1155/ 1156 / 1366)
Samsung SH-S222AL/RSMS 22x DVD±RW SATA Lightscribe ReWriter

And heres the problems im expierencing, all of these i have expierenced in the last 2 weeks:

1. Often - System seems to be unresponsive at times causing minor freeze spikes.
2. Always - Everytime windows 7 starts i get an error about my OpenGL failing.
3. Often - System oftenly wont pass post screens and takes 3-4 attempts before loading windows.
4. Rarely - Sometimes at boot gives me an error about my HDD and asks me to Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart
5. Rarely / Often - Windows startup loading hangs with very long loading times it will eventually load but takes sometimes 5 minutes instead of the usualy 10 seconds.
6. Rarely - Once only I got an error while playing a game that caused my textures to go crazy and after exiting, i got looped errors and had to maunaly shutdown.
8. Always - When i try and reinstall windows it hangs at different points at "Windows is loading files".
9. Always - My gfx card seems to get very hot when playing games in minimal settings and in windowed mode. It seems to be pumping out very hot air. (Ive checked for dust anything blocking it and i dont see anything).
10. Always - I did manage to install XP as a dual boot and i notice at startup the ati recovery has to always kick in twice before becomign stable.
11. Rarely - Very high CPU usage causing my PC to have sever lag spikes every few seconds.
12. Rarely / Often - My Network will randomly drop connection by telling me there is a problem with the connection, but all other devices in the house dont have this error, seems to be when i am downloading mostly.
13. Rarely - System will blue screen with a "Ati2GPU" error.

I have no idea where to begin, at first i thought its my GFX card because when i got the texture problems in game this seemed to be what initialised the erorrs. But now im wondering is it my HDD?

I really have no idea where to begin at the moment, i dont have access to secondary parts but all of my equipment is still under warranty with OC.

sounds like a faulty install of windows (possibly caused by a bad HDD) coupled together with another problem.

the obvious thing to do would be memtest, then the graphics card test on OCCT

I too think it may be faulty memory, have you tried with just one stick of ram? or trying to move ram to a different dimm slot? what if you try and install windows without the discrete card, just using onboard?

Thanks for the replys, my board doesnt have OB gfx so i cant test there , as for ram i tested changing slots and using just one i still got the same problems so i generally ruled the ram out. As for the install of windows being at fault would this cause the boot issues? and also 2 seprate erros on different OS's?

apologies i didnt realise p67 couldnt make use of the integrated gpu, kind of lame on intels part! i'd still run memtest to test the ram isnt faulty as by changing dimms/swapping out doesnt always detect problems.

have you tried resetting bios options, do you overclock?

I dont overclock and i havent touched the bios since ive had it. ill run memtest and see what results i get.

Just did memtest 2 times took around an hour.. never done so i dont know if thats the right kind of time.. and had 2 passes with no errors. I did notice after booting from the tests windows again took a long time to load and i got blue screened with ati2dvag again. Does it look like a HDD problem?
