Faulty 2600K?

I think I might just get another 2600K... lol I know it's an expensive option but what else do I have? :P

Anyone recommend a good batch to ask for?

Right, I tried booting @ 4.8GHz with a vcore of 1.41 and LLC1 and it won't take it... something must be up with it or the motherboard?

Not all chips are created equal.

Perhaps 4.6GHz is as much as yours can manage.

Just because you can't get to 4.8GHz doesn't mean "something must be up with it or the motherboard".

You could buy another and end up with one that will do more or one that will do less.

C'est la vie.

Lol I know I was just kinda expecting more but heyho. Bought another 2600K anyways... Hopefully this one will be better.

Got my new CPU in and it's much much easier to OC! Well pleased!
I Can't believe you forked out for a brandnew CPU because you couldn't get higher then 4600mhz ...
Think it be really funny if the new one only does 4600mhz or lower :D

What program or game do you need a cpu that higher then 4600mhz for ??

I know I'm stupid but I like my tech! :P I need (want) over 4.6GHz for Flight Simulator X. It's an extremely CPU intestive program and it doesn't help with its awefull coding. A 2600K at over 4.6GHz has proven to make the sim a much more enjoyable experience.

Haha if this thing doesn't go over 4.6GHz I may jump off a bridge! :P

Once you've decided on the best CPU, I'd be happy to find a nice, quiet, stress-free environment for your old chip. All it would cost you is the postage!

I would very much like to take you up on the offer for that but, correct me if I'm wrong, but do you not have to be part of the member's market?
