Faulty 470... what can replace it?

My 470 is looking like it's dying, and is also out of warranty, so just wondering what I can replace it with that's a modern equivalent (or slightly better) and that won't break the bank?

Artifacts during gameplay more than anything. Temps aren't terrible, but something ain't right with it. I fitted a Zalman after market cooler a while back, and ever since then something hasn't quite been right with it.

First thing I would try is replacing the original cooler. Might be something wrong with the new cooler, i.e incorrect installation, or memory chips not getting enough cooling, etc.
