Faulty 6800 Can I RMA It Without Stock Cooler?

I have XFX 6800 PCI-E it shows lots of problems that are mem related so i have work out,

Its about 8 months old but no longer has a stock cooler as that died
and i stuck a arctic cooler on,

Can it still be RMA'ed or do i just have to throw it out,

Stick the stock cooler back on and send it back.

I lost one of the clips for it which is annoying guess i gotta live with a broken card

Does it not screw on? Is there anyway which you can bodge the cooler on just to get it back to them?

I could try guess no harm in trying as it dont work anyways,
