Hi Purchased 3900x with X570 Taichi and 8pack 3600 memory for OCUK ofc.

Every time i tried the XMP setting i was getting errors from freezing in windows to freezing in bios.
Not immediate it could take 30 mins or so.
Ended up screwing my Win10 install as errors on loading going through repairs etc with faulty mem.
Finally got around to trying sticks individually tonight first lasted over an hour with no problems.
Swapped them over and within 30 minutes locked up and started loading errors on boot up.
Changed back and straight back into windows with no errors since.

It would run all day at 2400 but of course I did not buy it for that.

So obviously have a faulty stick and i would not normally expect any problems with an RMA.
However the wife today has put all the packaging apart from my MB box in the bin.
And yes it was bin man day.

Can i expect any issues sorting the RMA and how best can I return them.
Any chance OCUK can mail me an empty package to return them in, you must use a lot of them.

End of the day i must be that unlucky 0.001% of purchasers that have a problem with this memory.

Lastly what are the chances of me purchasing another set and then just getting refunded the faulty set to avoid total downtime.

There shall be no issues with your return, as long as you have invoice / order number all shall be fine.

XMP is not guaranteed by conventional memory vendors and manual tuning is some time required. Signal rail values key to stability such as VDDG voltage and SOC are specific to CPU samples. It can sometimes also help to have SOC 100mV higher than VDDG.

It's excellent CS from OCUK to accept returns on this basis.

Ordered a replacement set.
RMA and refund arranged hopefully back up to speed Monday well apart from the stock cooler struggling to control temps.
