Hi, i just did my first build last week, all went well and everything is up and running fine. However, my hw monitor in the bios and asus pc probe II utility is telling me my psu fan is running slow - 450-470 rpm, ive never seen it above 470rpm, ive only run it through Everest stability test so far to test the system.
So can anyone tell me what their Be Quiet psu fan is rotating at, idle and under load so i can try to determine if mine is faulty. Psu rpm sensor is connected to the PW FAN connection on my mobo, correct?
I have contacted Be Quiet and they said to contact Ocuk regarding warranty as they seemed to think it has a fault, but Ocuk say as my system is running ok and its a very efficient psu and the fan rotates slowly anyway (still trying to find out what it should be rotating at as neither of them seem to know) that it should be fine. I just dont want it to go wrong and result it having to replace other parts aswell.

System details:
AMD Phenom II X4 955BE
Asus M4A785TD M-EVO
G.Skill Ripsaw 4GB - PC3 12800C7 1600mhz
Seagate Barracuda Hdd 80GB - (o/s and programs)
Samsung F3 1TB (storage etc)
Akasa Nero cpu cooler
Akasa Ak 191 Bl 120mm case fan (f+r)
Lg GH22NS40 DVD Rw
Coolermaster Elite 330 case
Asus Xonar DS soundcard
Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 450w
Windows 7 Home premium.

Any help appreciated

I wonder how you're getting picture without graphics card... ;)

FurMark and Linpack (IBT/Linx/OCCT) give plenty of heat so check does running them rise fan speed.

(and would suggest using that Barracuda for something else than OS/programs)
