Faulty corsair dominator memory?

I have been running 2x1gb of corsair dominator pc2-8500 no problem.
I bought another 2x1gb an installed it.
my computer didnt boot.
I just tried the new memory and it still didnt boot. I tried different configurations all with the same outcome.
Am i right in my assumption that the memory is faulty.
My motherboard is a asus p5q se and the memory is compatible i have recently changed to xp 64bit though i belive that this should not cause a problem.

x64 XP will have no effect.

Are both the new sticks failing to boot on their own?
